Around 2006, Guro Rolly Villa began training with GM Ike Sepulveda of Atillo Balintawak. Two years later, training continued with Master Roy Ilogon and GM Nene Gaabucayan of NNG Balintawak. From 2015 to 2017, he trained in Cebu with GM Eddie Velez, GM Oliver Mag-uyon, GM Monie Velez, GM Kirt Velez, and Master Chester Revil of WOTBAG (World Original Teofilo Velez Balintawak Arnis Group). Through GM Monie and Oliver, he learned, module by module, the proper methodology of teaching and following the curriculum of the WOTBAG Balintawak system.
